fall into the gap
Rational thought is only as frequent as the sensical input distributed across a vast desert of barren feet
bejeweled tortoise shells shield the vulgar promises of tomorrow
veiled, the hare leaps for the kill
where once the wise walked now stand the flooded tracks of merchants

veiled, the hare leaps for the kill
where once the wise walked now stand the flooded tracks of merchants
Concrete
As the electric dragon rattles down the tracks
I glance up to an eery pink haze
Pouring in between the buildings around me
Before I know it the streets burst
With people following imaginary paths-
Walking morning zombies-
As though a switch were flicked and the world came to half-life
I find it absurd and watch the preceedings unfold before my eyes
My body melts into the concrete surrounding me
My eyes chase geometric shapes through positive space
Surely this must be Emerald City in a nutshell
I'm convinced of this much
Where the city sounds of far off cars
And green glass meets clean swept streets
Seagulls perform their morning stretch
Unaware of human eyes
Below us tunnels wind connecting like wormholes
And terminals buzz like busy hives
I stand in the middle and smile
Let the drones fly by
As well as time
So the only concrete is below my feet
The telephone rings, the ceiling glimmers
And Emerald City is lost in my eye
I glance up to an eery pink haze
Pouring in between the buildings around me
Before I know it the streets burst
With people following imaginary paths-

Wishing You a Politically Correct Happy Holiday
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Disclamer For My "Sensitive" Friends:
Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes
for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, non-addictive,
gender-neutral celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced
within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of
your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect for the
religious/secular persuasion and/or traditions of others, or their
choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.
I also wish you a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling and
medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally
accepted calendar year 2007, but not without due respect for the
calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society
have helped make Canada great. Not to imply that Canada is necessarily greater than any other country.
Also, this wish is made without regard to the race, creed, color, age,
physical ability, religious faith or sexual orientation of the wishee.
By accepting these greetings, you are accepting the aforementioned
terms as stated. This greeting is not subject to clarification or
withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the
original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually
implement any of the wishes for herself/himself/others, and is void
where prohibited by law and is revocable at the sole discretion of the
wisher.
This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual
application of good tidings for a period of one year or until the
issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and
warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new
wish at the sole discretion of the wisher.

riding the tide

the human fascination with waves lapping, and gently flowing must
stem from the vision of motion in action. we recognize the beauty
of science right before our eyes. why exactly each wave is a cer-
tain length, moving a certain direction and at what speeds. yet
we are not the creator. mother nature's unique voice serenades us
into a trance-like state.
